ESFA

The governing body of schools’ football in England is known as The English Schools Football Assocation. It is responsible for holding and developing school football competitions and festivals for boys and girls from ages 11-19 years old.

Danone UK General Manager Marnix Eikenboom (2009):

"We are delighted to enter into this new partnership with the ESFA, which will mark the beginning of an exciting new phase for the Danone Nations Cup in the UK. Danone's mission is to bring health through nutrition to as many people as possible, and in building greater awareness for the tournament in this country we will be encouraging more kids to get active and to eat a balanced, nutritious diet."

ESFA Chief Executive John Read (2009):

"The chance to play for your country is every young footballer's dream. Through this partnership with Danone UK that dream will now become a reality for the winners of the Under 12s Schools Cup. Danone is giving these youngsters a fabulous opportunity to play in an international world cup tournament. Together, ESFA and Danone can really make a difference in promoting sport and healthy nutrition to thousands of kids up and down the country."

Danone is supporting Change4Life

Did you know that if we carry on as we are, 9 out of 10 of today's kids risk growing up with dangerous levels of fat in their bodies? This can cause serious illnesses like heart disease, cancer and type 2 diabetes in later life.

We all want our children to grow up to be happy, healthy adults. But it can sometimes be hard to know how. So Change4Life has been launched to help us all, but especially our kids, eat well, move more and live longer.

Change4Life is all about making small changes to help your kids build healthy bodies. Here at Danone, we are getting involved by promoting both healthy eating and physical activity messages. The Danone Nations Cup tries to show how both of these elements are inextricably linked, encouraging behaviour changes in both areas for children. We constantly aim to expand the scope and reach of our campaign and each year more schools become aware and participate in the project.

If your family has not yet joined Change4Life, why not do it today? You will get lots of tips and ideas to help you make sure your kids are eating properly and getting enough exercise. To join, visit the website or call 0300 123 4567.
