The Danone Nations Cup is the world's largest international football tournament for children in the 10-12 age group. The World Final is the culmination of a year of competition in which the winners of national tournaments in 40 participating countries over five continents come together to compete for the Danone Nations Cup. The 2009 final is being held in Sao Paolo, Brazil in October.

This year there have been some exciting changes to the UK tournament. We are pleased to announce a brand-new partnership with the English Schools FA (ESFA) which will see the winners of the ESFA Under 12 Schools' Cup for Boys representing Team England at the Danone Nations Cup.

The new partnership is a fantastic opportunity to develop and grow the Danone Nations Cup in this country. We will now be able to reach up to 10,000 10-12 year olds through schools across England.

This year's Under 12 Schools' Cup Final, which took place at Goodison Park on May 19, was won by Archbishop Beck College, Liverpool, who in a thrilling match beat Richard Challoner School New Malden 2-1. A team from the Archbishop Beck College will now go on to represent Team England at the Danone Nations Cup in Sao Paolo Brazil in October.

For those keen to be involved in the tournament and the chance to represent England in the Danone Nations Cup encourage your teachers to register your school into the ESFA Under 12 School's Cup at www.esfa.co.uk . (PLEASE NOTE - Entries for the 2009/2010 Under 12 Schools Cup tournament have now closed.)
